Map of heat shock induced proteins

The pattern corresponds to the soluble proteins synthesized by strain S288C in response to heat shock (Electrophoresis 17: 1683-1699 (1996)).

Cells exponentially growing at 23°C were transferred to 36°C when the culture reached an optical density of 1. They were labeled with 35S methionine for 15 minutes, 20 minutes after the transfer.

Heat shock induced proteins have been characterized by comparison of the patterns of proteins synthetized before and after the heat shock. Results have been obtained from five independent experiments, using the BioImage software.

The factor of induction is indicated in the spot report accessible by clicking on each spot.
